At the beginning of each new year many individuals make commitments to change in various areas of their lives.  2020 was no different, especially since we have entered a new decade. You may be looking to make your own commitments whether it’s a diet reset, spiritual or family improvement. People want to make a difference within themselves. However, these goals may not be reached because people tend to give up. You should not give up. Here are some simple suggestions that could help in maintaining these goals.

  1. Eat:

Eating a healthy diet is not about strict limitations, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Eating is adding nutritional foods to your diet, like fruits, vegetables, healthy lean meats, grains etc.  But it’s not going overboard with clean eating.  Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, improving your health, and boosting your mood.  Eating is to nourish in order to flourish as you deal with your day to day stressors.

2. Pray/Mediation:

Prayer and meditation allow us to speak directly with ourselves or our higher power and the use of conflict resolution with our own chain of events.  In other words, it can be the source of our well-being, mental, emotional and physical health.

3. Love:

Love is one of the most profound emotion and universal language known to us as humans. However, the greatest love one can have is self-love.  How have you been loving yourself?  It’s utterly important to take care of yourself whether it is emotional or physical. Simple ways of doing this could include self- soothing activities like yoga, physical exercise, dance,  listening to music, reading, etc.  But sometimes this could be difficult.  And one other way of self-love is seeking professional help.
